A recent article from India Today confirmed that as India’s youth population continues to grow, the spotlight on careers in music and music education has expanded. And it’s not just cultural acceptance that is increasing. It’s also earnings.

“The improving visibility of the music and entertainment industry and its somewhat transparent economic indicators have led to a slow but encouraging acceptance of careers in music as viable,” wrote Nilesh Thomas in the article.

According to Statista—an online platform specializing in data gathering and visualization—the Indian music sector was valued at around 22 billion Indian rupees at the end of 2022, and was forecasted to experience a compound annual growth rate of 15 percent into 2025.
