The Master of Arts in Music Supervision program prepares you for a career in placing and managing music for TV, film, games, advertising, and emerging media. Designed to be completed within a year, you’ll build skills in storytelling, licensing, copyright, and rights management, so you can confidently navigate the creative and business sides of the industry.

By the end of this program, you will have:

A concrete understanding of music licensing, copyright, and clearance procedures, including contract negotiation and budgeting
The skill to apply music to narrative media through script analysis, emotional and dramatic interpretation, and creative song selection
The ability to use emerging technologies—including digital audio tools and AI-assisted composition—to adapt to evolving media formats
Entrepreneurial and leadership skills to manage freelance or corporate careers in music supervision
