This summer, take your craft to Los Angeles with four Berklee College of Music programs for students ages 14+: Film, TV, and Game Scoring, Songwriting, Music Business, and Electronic Music Production and Sound Design. Learn with Berklee’s renowned faculty and visiting artists, collaborate with motivated peers, and leave with tangible progress, including new skills, industry insight, and portfolio-ready work. Programs take place at the Colburn School campus in downtown Los Angeles, with on-campus housing available.

Summer Programs in Los Angeles, California Film, TV, and Game Scoring ProgramAges 14+Learn how to tell a story and evoke emotions through your music. In this five-day program, you'll discover easy-to-learn, but powerful compositional tools to write cinematic music. Interact with high-profile composers in a close setting, study the basics of composing for orchestra, and develop production techniques to produce polished recordings using your laptop.  Songwriting SessionsAges 14+Discover the art of songwriting and popular music production in this five-day program. Learn to write a catchy melody, write a memorable lyric, build tracks on your computer, and possibly even write a hit. You’ll collaborate with other students in the “48-Hour Writing Sprint,” perform your songs at the open mic and final showcase, and get real-world advice from industry professionals, and up-and-coming young writers and producers in Los Angeles.  Music Business ProgramAges 14+Berklee’s Music Business Summer Program in Los Angeles is a five-day, hands-on experience for aspiring artists, managers, and entrepreneurs. Learn from industry professionals about artist development, music rights, branding, social media strategy, and marketing. Work with emerging artists to create a rollout plan for their next release and pitch your ideas to music executives.  Electronic Music Production and Sound Design WorkshopAges 14+Push your limits as an electronic musician and develop skills in sound design, production, and EDI performance. Explore sound synthesis, sampling, and design for video games and media, using modular, vintage, and modern instruments. Tailor coursework to your experience and interests, and gain hands-on practice to create polished electronic music that reflects your unique style. |
